Host a Children's Party

Description:
Family Residence is a shelter for women and children located in Midtown.  Come with a group of 5-15 volunteers and host an afternoon of treats and activities with the kids.  Activity ideas include reading, playing games, singing songs, arts and crafts, face painting and serving snacks.  We ask that groups provide the refreshments (cupcakes, cookies, juice).

Come to our Northwest Boys & Girls Club and help facilitate a fun afternoon of Pitch, Hit and Run!  We need judges, spotters, timers, starters, scorers and many more!  A total of 20 volunteers (18 and older) are needed.

Description:

Have a passion for working with kids?  Be a coach at our Northwest Boys & Girls Club.  Sports include soccer in the spring, baseball in the summer, football in the fall and basketball in the winter.  Coaches will assist with practices and games.  All practices are held and our Northwest Boys & Girls Club and games are held throughout the city.  Opportunities are available for age groups 5-6, 8 and under, 10 and under, 12 and under.  Volunteers must be 18 or older. 

Interested volunteers please contact us in February for soccer, April for baseball, July for football and November for basketball.

Description:
Volunteers are needed during the school year to assist with after-school programming for at-risk youth.  Activities include homework help, arts and crafts, recreational activities, sports programs, computer lab, field trips, leadership programs and teen programs.  Volunteers are also needed during the summer while our Clubs are open full-time.  Activities are similar during summer programming with more time dedicated to recreation and field trips.  Volunteers must be 18 or older.
