Family Residence

Cook – FT

Primary FunctionsPrepares, cooks and serves nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules; ensures all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner; cleans kitchen facilities, equipment and appliances; maintains inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner.

Housing Monitor - FT

 Primary FunctionsAssists residents staying in the Family Residence overnight; performs client intake procedures and prepares client intake records; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security and compliance to house rules; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensures that facility is maintained in a neat and proper order.

Garden City Boys & Girls Club

Program Aide – PT

Primary Functions: Assists in facilitating and monitoring activities of the Boys and Girls Club; supervises and coaches sporting events; assists in maintaining the Boys and Girls Club facilities, equipment, and grounds.

Pasadena

Driver – PT

Primary FunctionsDrives a Salvation Army vehicle in order to transport passengers to and from Salvation Army activities, as well as picking up donations

Custodian – PT

Primary Functions:  Cleans and maintains the buildings and grounds to ensure the neatness and cleanliness of the same on a daily basis.

Secretary – FT

Primary FunctionsPrepares all materials and works directly with the Advisory Council on all secretarial duties to include, but not limited to: Advisory Board minutes, preparation of the advisory board meetings, materials, and communication; maintains and prepares all reports on campaign projects, special events, meetings and other projects as directed by the Corps Officer; performs a variety of clerical and secretarial work necessary for the smooth operation of the Corps; duties to include, but not limited to: correspondence, proposals, database lists, and reports.

Administrative and Grant Compliance Manager – FT

Primary FunctionsSupervises, assigns, instructs and monitors work of 10 employees, including but not limited to the social services worker and receptionist; interviews potential employees and makes recommendations to the Commanding Officer; ensures the accomplishment of the various administrative tasks relating to the grants and programs funded by the grants; researches and writes additional grants to benefit all programs; prepares various routine and special reports for grants compliance, always keeping the Commanding Officer abreast of progress.

Primary Functions: Plans, coordinates and directs all youth activities and programs for the Boys & Girls Club; plans and coordinates fund-raising and recruitment events; recruits and supervises all assigned staff and volunteers; maintains all program equipment; plans and coordinates a youth mentorship program; represents the Club in the community and builds a professional and positive image of The Salvation Army.

Sally’s House

Receptionist – FT

Primary Functions Answers the telephone in a courteous manner and directs calls to the appropriate destination; records accurate and complete messages when necessary; receives and receipts deliveries and donations; greets and announces visitors and clients; provides general information about The Salvation Army's operations and services; performs routine clerical work such as typing and filing; assures that all potential clients have completed the Sally’s House application correctly and provide proper identification, Social Security Card and the HUD required referral letter before being interviewed by the Director and/or Caseworker Supervisor.
