Family Residence

Cook – FT

Primary Functions:  Prepares, cooks and serves nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules.  Ensures all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner.  Cleans kitchen facilities, equipment and appliances.  Maintains inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner.

Housing Monitor (2 positions) – FT

Primary Functions:  Assists residents staying in the shelter; performs client intake procedures and prepares client intake records; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security and compliance to house rules; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensures that facility is maintained in a neat and proper order.

Child Care Supervisor – FT

Primary Functions:  Provides activities and child care services for children participating in the Family Residence Program; facilitates recreational activities, educational, spiritual, and character building programming, and play time; prepares and maintains program records; assist in maintaining Program facilities, equipment, and grounds.

Pasadena


Custodian – PT

Primary Functions:  Cleans and maintains the buildings and grounds to ensure the neatness and cleanliness of the same on a daily basis.

Driver – PT

Primary Functions:  Drives a Salvation Army vehicle in order to transport passengers to and from various locations; ensures the vehicle meets the scheduled maintenance and performs operator’s maintenance in accordance with established standards.

Social Services

Receptionist – FT

Primary Functions:  Answers the telephone and transfers calls to the appropriate destination.  Responds to callers questions and provides accurate information.  Puts messages on voice mail and/or delivers messages. Records accurate and complete messages.  Ensures the timely and accurate distribution of messages through telephone and/or E-mail. Screens clients needing financial assistance and obtains necessary documents.  Signs clients in daily log and retrieves client records if on file. Opens and closes office doors and files daily.  Turns on/off lights and equipment at the beginning/ending of the day.  Receives, greets, and announces visitors in a courteous and tactful manner.  Provides assistance to callers and visitors by answering questions and providing instructions and referrals.   Notifies proper individuals when visitors or clients have arrived.  Ensures that visitors and clients have signed in. Assists in gathering statistical information.  Ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same. Receives, responds to, and assists people requesting social service assistance.  Assists in registering clients. Performs outreach intake.  Performs data quality follow up, reporting, file management and report closure in the HMIS system.

Social Services Case Aide– FT

Primary Functions:  Assists professional staff in non-technical services by providing practical support to assist Housing Case Managers in completion of routine clerical, database, and housing related tasks which may include assisting with conducting home visits related to housing case management; makes reports; performs routine clerical and related tasks as assigned.
