Houston Area Command

Compliance Specialist - FT

Primary Functions:  Prepares, reviews, and verifies reports for Social Service grants for accuracy and completeness; travels to field locations to ensure compliance with local grants. Collaborates with the Program Services Department and field staff to ensure compliance.  Develops a compliance review plan annually and update plan as necessary. 
Monitors contract performance and brings performance issues to the attention of the Social Services Director and appropriate administrative staff. Ensures overall quality and accuracy of all contract related documents forwarded to funders. Develops and maintains a database that details executed contracts, their requirements, and audit information.
Performs data entry of financial information to prepare spreadsheet and general ledger programs for bookkeeping and reporting purposes; proofs data entry work for accuracy and completeness. 
Researches and reconciles accounts to ensure financial documents, correspondence, invoices, payments, spreadsheets, etc. are accurate; resolves accounting problems with outside personal contacts. 
Prepares correspondence regarding the status of accounts and responds to account inquiries; ensures all correspondence is prepared in a professional and tactful manner. 
Maintains agency contract binders and files for general use and review.

Social Services

Education and Workforce Case Manager – FT

Primary Functions: The Education & Workforce Case Manager provides valuable employment and/or education assistance and supportive services to clients of Supportive Housing Program; aides clients along with the Housing Case Manager in the successful completion of their respective Housing Plan & Financial Recovery Plan.

Family Residence

Housing Monitor (2 positions) – FT

Primary Functions:  Assists residents staying in the shelter; performs client intake procedures and prepares client intake records; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security and compliance to house rules; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensures that facility is maintained in a neat and proper order.

Pasadena Corps Community Center

Custodian - PT

Primary Functions:  Cleans and maintains the buildings and grounds to ensure the neatness and cleanliness of the same on a daily basis.

Groundskeeper - PT
Primary Functions: Performs a variety of grounds keeping work in order to maintain the health and beautification of grounds surrounding Salvation Army buildings; mows and edges grass, trims trees/shrubs, blows leaves and debris from side walks.

Senior Services Caseworker - PT
Primary Functions:  Interviews clients to determine need and eligibility for program services; prepares and maintains accurate and complete client records, both in hard files and on state required database; ensures compliance with program policies and procedures; collaborates with Senior Program Coordinator for various details of program administration; communicates frequently with program participants.

Primary Functions:  Drives a Salvation Army vehicle in order to transport passengers to and from Salvation Army activities, as well as picking up donations.
