Family Residence

Cook – FT

Primary Functions:  Prepares, cooks and serves nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules.  Ensures all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner.  Cleans kitchen facilities, equipment and appliances.  Maintains inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner.

Housing Monitor (2 positions) – FT

Primary Functions:  Assists residents staying in the shelter; performs client intake procedures and prepares client intake records; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security and compliance to house rules; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensures that facility is maintained in a neat and proper order.

Garden City Boys & Girls Club

Program Aide – PT

Primary Functions:  Assists in facilitating and monitoring activities of the Boys and Girls Club; supervises and coaches sporting events; assists in maintaining the Boys and Girls Club facilities, equipment and grounds.

Pasadena Corps Community Center

Driver – PT (2 positions)

Primary Functions:  Drives a Salvation Army vehicle in order to transport passengers to and from various locations; ensures the vehicle meets the scheduled maintenance and performs operator’s maintenance in accordance with established standards.

Administrative and Grant Compliance Manager – FT

Primary Functions:  Supervises, assigns, instructs and monitors work of 10 employees, including but not limited to the social services worker and receptionist; interviews potential employees and makes recommendations to the Commanding Officer; ensures the accomplishment of the various administrative tasks relating to the grants and programs funded by the grants; researches and writes additional grants to benefit all programs; prepares various routine and special reports for grants compliance, always keeping the Commanding Officer abreast of progress.

Boys & Girls Club Branch Manager – FT

Primary Functions:  Plans, directs, coordinates, supervises and monitors the day-to-day operations and programs of the Boys and Girls Club including operation hours, facility maintenance and security, program development and promotion, and recreational activities; ensures center operates in compliance with The Salvation Army mission, policies and procedures; plans, coordinates, and supervises the Summer Day Camp Program including the hiring of all seasonal staff and recruitment of volunteers; plans, coordinates and directs all youth athletic programs for the Boys and Girls Club; plans and coordinates fund-raising and recruitment events; recruits and supervises volunteer staff; maintains all program equipment; plans and coordinates a youth mentorship program.
