The Salvation Army has opened a silent
auction on three items collected through its red-kettle holiday
campaigns.
The three items up for auction are a 2008 Canadian Gold Maple
Leaf $50 coin; a 2005 U.S. Mint American Silver Eagle $1 Dollar
coin; and a wedding ring.
The ring was dropped in a kettle during The Salvation Army’s
2007 holiday campaign and has not been claimed. The other items
were found during red-kettle collections in the 2008 campaign.
Any person or business may place a bid by calling (309)
829-9476, ext. 19, and speak with Andrea Raycraft between 8 a.m.
to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday.
The three items can be viewed at
www.sabloomington.org. The
current bid status of each item will be posted on the site.
The auction opened Thursday and will close at noon Jan. 26 |
