Salvation Army angel trees are up at The Woodlands and Willobrook Malls

The Salvation Army's angel trees are up at The Woodlands Mall and Willobrook Mall, giving Houston shoppers the opportunity to make the holiday wishes of area children and seniors come true.

Those who want to make a donation can take a numbered tag from the tree and purchase a gift according to the tag's description. Gifts should be returned unwrapped, and The Salvation Army will distribute them.

Recipients of the gifts include needy newborns, children, and nursing home residents.

The trees will be up until Sunday, Dec. 21 so that gifts can be distributed in time for Christmas.

The Woodlands angel tree is located in Center Court near the Information Center, and the Willowbrook angel tree is located in the Sears wing near the children's play area. Contributors who want to drop off gifts after Dec. 21 can deliver them to The Salvation Army in Conroe, at 304 Avenue E. between 8:00a.m. and 7:00p.m.

Now through Sunday, December 21, volunteers from The Salvation Army will be staffing the Angel Tree at The Woodlands Mall, asking individuals to be an angel and provide assistance to needy children and seniors in the greater Houston area.

 
The Angel Tree is decorated with numbered tags with information about individuals who are in need of a gift for Christmas, including children ages newborn to 13 and senior citizens who are in area nursing facilities. Contributors can remove one or more tags from the tree and purchase appropriate gifts based on the information on the tag. Shoppers return the gifts, unwrapped, and The Salvation Army will distribute the gifts in time for Christmas.

The Angel Tree, located in Center Court near The Information Center, is staffed by Salvation Army volunteers Monday through Sunday during mall hours. Any gifts that are donated after Sunday, December 21 should be delivered to The Salvation Army, 304 Avenue E in Conroe between the hours of 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, call The Salvation Army – Conroe at 936-760-2440.
