After an anonymous donor gave forty-three one hundred dollar bills at a Salvation Army Red Kettle, and another gave 23 hundred dollar bills in another kettle, The Salvation Army reports more anonymous donors have given unique donations.  Over this past weekend, The Salvation Army had 60 twenty dollar bills given to a single kettle and 1500 two dollar bills donated to another.  The two dollar bills were given to the 2008 Honorary Christmas Chair of the Salvation Army, Mayor Ron Littlefield’s red kettle at the Hobby Lobby on Hwy 153.  

The donor who wished to stay anonymous, challenged others to give, “I would like to see the Salvation Army make some money off of this donation.”

 The Salvation Army has already had donors approach them offering them $350 for each 100 bundle of the two dollar bills. 

 The Salvation Army Red Kettle donations go to help those in need of assistance during the holidays and into the New Year.  This year's Red Kettle goal is $300,000.00 for the Chattanooga and Cleveland areas. With this past weekend’s kettle donations The Salvation Army has surpassed this goal!
