For Thanksgiving, The Salvation Army preparing to serve some 10,000 local residents in the Greater Houston region

On Thursday, November 28, 2013, The Salvation Army Greater Houston Area Command will open its doors at select locations across the Greater Houston region to provide homemade Thanksgiving Day Meals to some 10,000 residents of Houston and Conroe. Turkey, dressing and all the trimmings, as well as several tasty desserts will be served to Houston’s homeless, elderly, shelter residents, families and those affected by the economy.

ALL INTERESTED MEMBERS OF THE MEDIA ARE INVITED TO ATTEND.

Why: To provide homemade Thanksgiving Day Meals to thousands of local residents in the Greater Houston region who are in a disadvantaged situation.
