Little Caesars' Love Kitchen Pulls Into Our Harbor Light Center

(March 1, 2013) This week, Little Caesars' Love Kitchen pulled into our Harbor Light Center & Red Shield Lodge.  The big rig kitchen on wheels was there to serve "Hot-N-Ready" pizzas to rehabilitation clients of The Salvation Army and transient homeless men and women in the area.  Local Little Caesars franchise owners prepared and served the hot meals.  The Salvation Army worked with Little Caesars to serve as many pizzas as possible.

Little Caesars' Love Kitchen, as the huge mobile food truck is better known, is the only kitchen of its kind in the United States owned by Little Caesars.  The mobile pizza-making-big-rig travels the country serving those with the most need throughout the year.

The Salvation Army is one of the largest community service providing agencies in the local region. On any given night the 124 year old nonprofit organization's 5 housing facilities in the Greater Houston region provide the highest number of beds for homeless individuals. In Houston alone, 700 men, women and children find a safe place to sleep at one of The Salvation Army's four shelters in the metropolitan area every night. .
